Since 1935, the story of Community First has unfolded from its launch in a high school basement as the Duval County Teachers Credit Union to an 18 branch, 125,000 member financial institution open to all First Coast residents.

For more than 80 years our growth has occurred alongside industry developments ranging from the introduction of telephone tellers and ATM to online account management and mobile banking. The natural growth created by these technological advancements coupled with the strategic direction administered by the credit union’s leadership have evolved Community First into the billion dollar organization it is today.

We take great pride in our support of the local community and our continued investment in Northeast Florida’s schools and the educators who work within them. We believe that our sound business principles and efforts to further financial education in the community can help improve the lives of our local population. Our competitive, quality products have always considered our members’ best interests and positioned us to provide a wide range of financial services for you, your friends and family – and even the small business down the street.

Our story is rooted in a commitment to investing in the community and founded on the principle of being our members’ most trusted advisor in financial matters. We are proud to have served the First Coast and look forward to providing you an unparalleled banking experience for years to come.
